Beginning Rock Outside

Experience the thrill of rock climbing in a beautiful natural setting. Start with learning knots, belaying and movement technique, then put your new skills into practice during a full day of climbing at a local crag. Ages 16 and up.

When:Saturdays, 9 am to 4 pm.

Let Vertex design the perfect outing for your school, scouting, business or social group. We offer a wide range of indoor or outdoor climbing activities.

A typical school or youth group outing involves a two-hour session in the gym, with our staff providing coaching and handling the safety systems.

More adventurous outings at a local crag may include movement and safety instruction, rappelling, anchor setting, team building, and Scouting Merit Badge courses.

Personalized for all ages and experience levels.
